Q & A

do you require a down payment to book my date?

I do, as well as a signed contract. Once we get that done, the date is all yours! *Your date isn’t secure until both the contract and retainer fee are taken care of.
***30% of your total package price is Non- refundable and due at the time of booking. This fee is used to reserve your day and turn all other inquiries away for this date ***

How far out do you book?

For weddings and elopements, I typically book 9-12 months out and for portrait sessions it’s about a month. I am taking on a limited amount of work this year, and even if I don’t have your date available I can always recommend some photog friends of mine.

What’s your Covid cancellation policy?

Not to worry! If Covid has decided to rain on your parade, I will be there right by your side to help you figure it out. I’m a believer in making the best out of all situations. Although the retainer fee is non-refundable, it is transferable to a new date within 12 months of the original date. If for some reason we aren’t able to fill in a new date within that timeframe and you decide to move forward with another photographer, 50% of your retainer fee will be available to use as a credit for future photo sessions within 24 months of the original date.

How many photos can we expect back?

Weddings:
Of course this all depends on the amount of time we spend together, and the size of your wedding, but a good rule of thumb would be to count on about 50-60 images per hour.

Portrait Sessions:
A 60-90 minute session on average will produce approximately 100-150 images.

Do you travel?

The answer will always be a big fat YES! I’m based in Lincoln City, Oregon and even though it’s beautiful here… I am happy to travel out of town, out of state, and out of the country! Check out this fun Vegas elopement and beautiful intimate wedding along the border of Mexico.

How will i receive my files?

Say hello to online galleries! Accessible from any phone, tablet, computer with internet access and available to share with friends and family.

how long before we get our gallery back?

For weddings it’s 8-12 weeks and portrait sessions can take 3-6 weeks. As a busy mama of 2 little boys alongside shooting, editing, and running my own business, I try my very best to get you your images as quickly as I can, but certain times of the year can be busier than others.

Do you have a second shooter?

Great Question! I’ve been photographing weddings for 6 years and I’ve never shot with a second shooter. I have always been comfortable shooting alone, but If you would like additional coverage from another photographer, I would be happy to reach out to some wonderful people in the industry and get a quote for you.

Do we have to order prints from you?

Although I highly recommend ordering professional prints directly through your gallery to preserve the color and quality of your images, the answer is No! Once you receive your gallery, you will also have personal printing rights which means you can download your images and have them printed at your discretion.
***That being said, if you decide to print from a big box chain store (Target, Walmart, Costco, Walgreens, etc) I can almost guarantee your image quality/ colors will be ruined. I would recommend uploading your images to MPIX and ordering from there if you are wanting to do it yourself.

Can I have the raw images?

So sorry, this one is a No.

I’m stressed out because wedding planning is hard and all I want to do is eat potato chips and take a nap. Can you help me through the process?

The answer to this is SIMPLE. ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY. When you add me to your team, you are getting a sister/ mother/ best friend/ helping hand kinda person. I have relationships with wonderful vendors, an idea of putting together a timeline of the day, advice on lighting and locations, but most of all I have experience. I’ve only been a guest to a handful of weddings, but the other 50 I was behind the scenes running around to help make sure your day is as perfect as possible. I usually take a 20 minute break to eat as fast as I can (I swear, I feel I look like a t-rex devouring it’s last meal in a dark corner), but other then that I’m documenting, helping, and laughing and crying behind the camera.
